Risk Management
Enterprise risk identification, assessment, and mitigation across cyber, technology, operational, and privacy domains.
Quantified risk assessments mapped to the frameworks your board and regulator expect. We work from the business impact down to the control gap, not the other way around.
Methodologies we use
- ISO 27005:2022 for information security risk
- NIST RMF for federated and regulated environments
- FAIR for quantified cyber risk valuation
- ISO 23894:2023 for AI-specific risk
What you receive
A risk register with quantified exposure, a board-ready heat map, and a treatment plan sequenced by residual risk reduction per dollar spent.
Our approach
Risk work starts with the business — what revenue, customer trust, or regulatory licence the organization cannot afford to lose. We quantify exposure where credible data allows (loss frequency, loss magnitude distributions) and keep ordinal where it does not. Risk treatment choices are presented with cost, timeline, and residual exposure, not just a traffic light.
vCISO and advisory retainers
For organizations that need senior security counsel without a full-time hire, we offer fractional CISO retainers with board reporting included, M&A cyber due diligence for pre- and post-close transactions, and short, intense advisory engagements led by a named senior principal — one point of contact, no account-manager layer.
Typical engagement
- Phase 1. Business impact anchoring and risk appetite calibration (1–2 weeks)
- Phase 2. Threat and vulnerability inventory (3–4 weeks)
- Phase 3. Risk assessment and quantification (2–3 weeks)
- Phase 4. Treatment plan, board paper, and risk register handover
